Client Testimonial

‘‘I have never felt that chiropractic had changed my life until I started a treatment program with Dr. Matt Green. I have been seeing chiropractors on and off for over a decade and I say with absolute confidence that Dr. Green is the best chiropractor I have ever experienced. His care has helped me heal through excruciating back pain which was highly impairing my physical and emotional life. I recommend Dr. Green because his care is thorough and he works with each patient to develop treatment goals within specified periods of time. He is an amazing listener and understands the emotional strain that pain can cause. In addition to these attributes, Dr. Green is gentle and he spends adequate time with each person he sees. ’’

Pilates

Pilates is an exercise technique that is unlike any other method we know for strengthening, flexibility, and pain reduction. Pilates training is interesting. It engages the mind at the same time as the body. Pilates requires the same type of focus as a walking meditation. It is a mind-body approach to exercise.

Pilates is all about the "core" muscles of the back and belly. These are the muscles that hold us up while gravity compresses us. The "core" provides stability for the spine. The "core" is made up of the smallest, deepest back muscles that lay underneath the layers of large muscles we use for everyday activities.

"Core" muscles get weak with age, lack of use, and injury. The result can be back pain, poor posture, decreased athletic performance, balance problems, discomfort, or even minor bladder problems. People who are too injured to do conventional strengthening can perform Pilates exercises to strengthen while healing.

There is nothing better than Pilates rehab for overstretched, whiplash-injured muscles and ligaments. Nothing.

In our office, Pilates improves the lives of people with the following conditions: chronic pain, lumbar and cervical disk injuries, whiplash injuries, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, knee and ankle problems, and shoulder injuries. Rehab Pilates is not only for knees, ankles, backs, necks, and shoulders. It is extremely effective for people with multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, or post- stroke disabilities. It is great for pre and post-natal conditioning as well.
